These past several months have surely been full of challenges and great unknowns, but I remain incredibly impressed with the resiliency of the team at Delarc. While focusing heavily on health and safety issues and ensuring the well-being of the people we support and our staff, the team is also thinking creatively and "out of the box" as we grow into the future. The gathering of current person-centered information is leading us to consider the coolest new options for our agency (opening new businesses and enhancing our Employment Department are two examples of exciting initiatives being considered). One of our core values (our Unifying Principles) has always been Be Innovative. We are flexing those innovative muscles now to ensure people we support have the most robust and progressive services going forward. Tammy Green is Nominated for Direct Support Professional Excellence Award!!! Our very own and beloved Tammy Green was selected as our Chapter's Nominee for The Arc New York's 2020 Thomas A. Maul Direct Support Professional Excellence Award. Tammy was nominated by Amanda Nodine. As chapter nominee, she received a certificate of recognition for her exemplary work and a generous check from The Arc NY. Tammy, along with the other nominees from across NYS, and the four Statewide winners, were recognized at a virtual awards ceremony to honor their nomination and recognize their hard work. The virtual ceremony was held Thursday, October 1st, 2020. |
